The workers at the Medical Clinic on Tinian held a farewell party for Terri on Friday. It was a wonderful display of the affection they had for Terri and what she had done for the Clinic while she was there. There were a few tears shed, as can be expected, but it was more of a celebration of the love and respect they shared with one another.

They had made a sign, and had a few gifts, and a couple of cards that everyone signed. However, the best gifts were the hugs that were shared between Terri and her co-workers!

As usual, what would a party on Tinian be without great food? We only wish we had more room in our stomachs for the wonderful food brought to share with each other.

Finally, it was time for a group photo so that everyone could remember the moment! It truly was a bitter-sweet moment for all of us!

In the meantime, Terri and I have been busy packing. We don’t have a lot of things, so we can simply use the Post Office to ship all of our things back to the States. Don Powers was kind enough to let us borrow a truck for a few days in order to aid us in moving our things. As you can see, we have already filled the truck once!
Over the years Terri and I have been simplifying our lives… When we left Utah for Connecticut and Terri’s school, we had a large 6 bedroom house with all the furnishings. When we came to Tinian, we shipped over #60 boxes. Leaving Tinian, we are shipping about #30 boxes… and we still think we have too much stuff! I’m sure, given a few more years, we will simply be down to two suitcases!

We miss having you guys around, it’s just unfortunate for Tinian to lose great people like you and Terri. Things could have worked out but i guess that’s fate as i still believe in saying that God works in mysterious ways, anyway good to see someone still pays interest on Tinian. Again many thanks to you Kevan and Terri for doing good works while here on Tinian good luck with your new adventure in life God Speed.
